Conrad Hotels & Resorts to Expand Portfolio with New Resort in Mexico's Riviera Nayarit
Conrad Playa Mita, a new 325-room resort, expected to open in winter 2019 as Conrad Hotels & Resort’s second property in Mexico
PUNTA DE MITA, Mexico - Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton's (NYSE: HLT) global affluent hotel brand, today announces plans to redesign and reopen the former La Tranquila Resort in Punta de Mita, Mexico as Conrad Playa Mita in winter 2019. Following a multi-million dollar investment, the re-imagined property will welcome guests to an exclusive tropical oasis.

Co-developers, HRV Hotel Partners and Contact Development Company, together with a world-class international design team comprised of SB Architects, EDSA, Arquitectura de Interiores and Grupo Dovela, have envisioned a modern design to create a destination that highlights and enhances the natural beauty of the surrounding area. The design elements will incorporate the lush tropical landscape, open corridors and a contemporary and coastal décor. All guestrooms and suites will be steps from one of the finest beaches in Riviera Nayarit and will have unobstructed views the ocean.
Conrad Playa Mita will also serve as a destination for group travel with more than 45,000 square feet of combined function space, including:
- More than 30,000 square feet of premium outdoor event space with expansive beach frontage
- 10,000 square foot state-of-the-art ballroom
- 3,000 square feet of breakout rooms, each with ample pre-function terraces
